DAMAGE ASSESSMENT
This portion of the course provides participants with an understanding of the damage assessment process and how damage information is used by local and state officials. Participants will learn how to collect, organize, report and analyze damage information.
DEBRIS (REMOVAL) MANAGEMENT
This portion of the course is designed to provide participants with the ability to manage enormous amounts of debris that a disaster can produce. The importance of having plans containing standard operating procedures for all aspects of debris management is emphasized. Various situations that debris causes are discussed and the consequent actions necessary to return a community to pre-disaster conditions are addressed.
Please note: Applications for courses will be accepted up to 1 day prior to the course date. However, the cutoff date for lodging is 7 days prior to class.
